This article brings back so many raw emotions even now regarding my journey towards having a home! While I certainly appreciate all the amazingly kind words, Jason Piña is far too humble when he describes his role in the process.

I was so defeated by the time I contacted Jason and out of desperation I thought to myself, “One more place. I am going to call one more place!” What a blessing that Jason answered that phone call! Through the whole process, Jason just wouldn’t let my spark of hope die! No matter how often I called him (sometimes 4 or 5 times in one day), he would answer with the most pleasant demeanor. When I didn’t know what to do next, Jason did. When “Never Never Land” was nothing but a dream, he believed with me and sometimes even for me.

Yes, I achieved my dream of home ownership but only because Jason walked with me every step of the way. He didn’t dismiss me because my credit score was initially too low like many other companies had done before him. The other mobile home companies would be so friendly until my credit score came back, and then I was avoided like I had the plague. (I referred to it as the “Poverty Plague” at the time.)

I truly believe that the main reason I was able to keep fighting for my dream was because Jason made me feel that I was worthy and deserved it, just as much as anyone else, even with a low credit score!
