Braustin in 250 Words
After losing their brother in 2015, brothers Alberto and Jason Piña decided they wanted their lives to make a difference. What they knew best was affordable housing, and they saw home ownership as an important piece of building stable families and stable communities, not just achieving “the American Dream.” They decided to use their business skills to provide sustainable affordable housing.
While the brothers knew manufactured housing allowed for home ownership on moderate incomes, they were concerned of abuses by some in the industry. Their answer? Become the CarMax of the manufactured homes industry through up-front pricing, transparency, and honest service. They knew they could help more folks achieve the American Dream by reducing the price of buying a home, and that’s how Braustin Homes was born.
They have always used technology to keep prices low and customer satisfaction high. The company offers a contactless home buying experience where only about 1 in 3 home buyers ever meet with a Braustin team member face-to-face. A customer can tour a home and get an instant estimate online, get a quote over the phone, or if desired, he or she can visit the dealership and talk with a customer experience representative by video chat.
The Braustin team recently updated its podcast, Doublewide Dudes, to advance the conversation about how communities can ensure sustainable affordable housing is available for everyone. Braustin Homes is also working on a partnership with the nonprofit organization Next Step to implement affordable housing solutions in San Antonio.
